Big Deal Outlet is a rapidly growing retail establishment with locations in Utah and Idaho. We focus on liquidating products that cannot be sold through regular retail channels. This includes, scratch and dent, overstock, customer returns, and salvage consumer products. Job Description
The Cashier Team Lead is responsible for coordinating and supervising Cashier employees, opening and closing the store, receiving payments, and issuing receipts, as well as keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a leadership customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate. Previous experience with employee work schedule coordination, customer sales/returns, and loss prevention is a plus.
Schedule;
3-4 shifts per week between the hours of 12pm-8:30pm. Shifts will fall on weekdays Monday-Friday, and alternating Saturdays
What You Will Do:
- Be the "go to" person for cashier inquires and mediating when necessary
- Process customer returns and exchanges in an efficient and courteous manner
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to returns and exchanges
- Maintain accurate records of all returns and exchanges
- Monitor the sales floor
- Converse with customers and provide service
- Monitor the store for potential theft, including observing customers and reviewing security footage
- Train other employees on theft prevention and returns processes
- Opening and closing the store
- Track and balance all cash and credit transactions within the respective cash register
- Interact with customers to understand needs or answer any questions
- Receive payments from customers and issue receipts

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic computer knowledge and math skills
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently

Compensation details: 15-18 Hourly Wage
