Volt is immediately hiring for CNC Mill Machinist in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.
As an CNC Mill Machinist you will:
- Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
- Inspect components visually for surface finish and also inspect dimensions.
- Performs machine set-ups, adjust speeds and feeds to machine parts to specifications set forth in blueprints,
- Check machined parts for conformance to prescribed tolerances
- Ability to program, set up, adjust and efficiently operate machines to perform diverse and difficult operations.
- Proven ability to analyze G code and make manual program edits as needed.
- Ability to set up cutting tools and prove out new programs.
- Ability to work with robotic equipment.
- Ability to use basic shop inspection methods to include indicators and height gages.
- Close tolerance milling experience.
- High speed hard milling and electrode manufacturing experience is a plus.
- CMM experience a plus.
- Mold manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Mazak and Mazatrol milling programming is a plus.
This is a full-time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- High School diploma, military technical training, or equivalent vocational training
- 3-5 years of related experience working with CNC Mills
- Blueprint reading is a must
- Solidworks experience is a plus
Pay Rate: $ 36.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift - Hours: Monday - Friday: 6:00am-2:30pm OT as needed
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
