Job description

As an Account Manager for Abrasives in the Midwest region, you will be responsible for developing and managing client relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the abrasives market. You will work closely with existing clients and identify new business opportunities to expand market presence in the assigned territory.

Our client is a leading European manufacturer of high performance abrasives, coatings, and tools for the auotmotive refinishing, wood & furniture, and decorative verticals. They have been in business for over 40 years and are looking to build out their collision repair, RV, and automotive refinishing markets.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and decision-makers.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and support, addressing client needs and concerns promptly.
    • Conduct regular meetings and business reviews with clients to assess their needs and align our solutions with their objectives.
  2. Sales and Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Midwest region to achieve sales targets.
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive growth and expand market share.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to create customized solutions and proposals for clients.
  3. Market and Product Expertise:

    • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
    • Provide expertise on abrasives products, including their applications and benefits.
    • Train and educate clients on product features, usage, and maintenance.
  4. Order Management and Coordination:

    • Manage the end-to-end sales process, including order processing, delivery coordination, and follow-up.
    • Work with internal teams, such as logistics and customer service, to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
  5. Reporting and Analysis:

    • Track sales performance and provide regular reports on key metrics, including sales figures, client feedback, and market trends.
    • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly.
  6. Collaboration and Teamwork:

    • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other departments to align strategies and support business goals.
    • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to promote the company's products and services.

Profile

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or account management within the abrasives or related industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving targets.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to understand and articulate complex technical information.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel frequently within the Midwest region to meet with clients and attend events.
