With more than $20B within their portfolio, my client is rapidly growing and expanding their market share within the industry and are looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. We placed the Accounting Manager a couple years back who has already seen two promotions since!

My client has numerous operations within the Energy sector with a highly diversified portfolio of companies across wind energy, solar energy, battery storage, etc. They are excited to expand their team with an Accounting Manager joining the team!

Description

• Conduct research on and apply accounting standards for complex transactions or assist in implementing newly issued accounting standards.
• Manage relationships with multiple external accounting service providers, ensuring services are delivered accurately and on time.
• Review financial statements to ensure they are accurate and comply with GAAP.
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, ensuring audit findings are resolved promptly.
• Analyze and assess accounting implications and contractual reporting requirements for specific legal agreements.
• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
• Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders in the US and with global parent company.
• Provide coaching and supervise specific workstreams handled by the accounting associate.

Profile

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years Accounting experience
• Public accounting/audit experience needed
• Renewable/Energy/Infrastructure/Power & Utilities industry experience preferred
• CPA nice to have
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and follow through on completion of high-profile projects
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
