Construction Superintendent - Federal Projects
Location: Chicago, IL
Compensation: $100k-$130k Are you a Construction Superintendent with experience in managing the intricacies of federal projects? We seek a dynamic leader to oversee the delivery of top-quality results in the field. If you're experienced and can manage large projects from mobilization to closeout, ensuring safety, compliance, and scheduling while leading a skilled team to success, look no further. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the site supervision in all technical disciplines, including civil, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and more. • Confirm that the construction meets contract requirements, building codes, and standards. • Coordinate activities of subcontractors, resolve design conflicts, and manage site logistics. • Prepare, update, and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion. • Lead the work throughout the entire project lifecycle, from mobilization through commissioning and closeout. • Monitor labor hours, material quantities, RFIs, and ensure safety and quality compliance. • Build and maintain strong relations with the client's on-site representative. • Prepare and submit all relevant documentation, such as daily reports, quality reports, safety reports, RFIs, etc. • Lead and mentor project labor forces and subcontractors. What You Bring: • Preferably a Bachelor's degree in a related field or comparable experience. • At least 7-10 years of successful project delivery to government agencies, including but not limited to USACE, NAVFAC, USAF, GSA, State of Illinois, and the City of Chicago. • Strong leadership and project management skills, with a focus on federal and local public agency projects. • Deep knowledge of construction means, methods, and industry standards.
