Job description

Overview:
Join our team as a skilled CT Technologist dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. As a CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in conducting CT scans and assisting in the accurate diagnosis of various medical conditions. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the overall success of our healthcare facility.

Duties:
- Transform patients to and from the examination table, positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by a Physican.

- Explains procedure to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.

- Moves CT equipment into specified position and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance, based on knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and protocols.

- Practices radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding skills, and knowledge of applicable exposure factor, to minimize radiation to patient and staff.

- Performs the duties and responsibilities of a C.T. Technologist and takes emergency C.T. calls as needed or deemed necessary.

Qualifications:
- Certification in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- Proficiency in X-Ray technology, physiology knowledge, anatomy knowledge, aseptic technique, PET scan utilization, ER procedures, mammography principles, medical terminology, and sonography.
- Attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
- Previous experience in conducting CT scans is preferred.
