Peoples Gas, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Customer Consultant in our Chicago, Illinois location. The hourly rate starts at $23.65, and additional differential pay for bilingual (Spanish) candidates who pass the bilingual assessment. Our bilingual positions start at $25.15 an hour.

This position will start as an In Office position, and may transition to remote work option after successful completion of several months of training and meeting performance goals.

Job Responsibilities

WEC Energy Group is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our dynamic customer service team. As a Customer Consultant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional support and assistance to our valued customers.

  • Resolve customer contacts involving billing, payments, service offerings and service orders
  • Receive and report emergencies and outages to service departments
  • Maintain a positive and helpful attitude throughout all interactions

Successful applicants must possess customer service experience. Computer experience is required.

Our hours of operations are Monday - Friday 7:00am-7:00pm and Saturday from 7:00 am- 3:00 pm. Shift selections are offered based on seniority and it is typical for new hires to work an afternoon/evening shift during their first round of shift selections after completion of training.

Minimum Experience Required

  • 1+ years Customer Service Experience
Preferred Experience

  • Proficient at understanding verbal and written Spanish language
  • High School Diploma, HSED, or GED
