Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Engineer works under general supervision to provide Engineering support to field and staff personnel through a variety of projects and assignments. The Engineer also evaluates system performance through modeling, develops system designs, oversees construction, maintenance, and operations activities, investigates incidents, trouble-shoots systems and equipment, tests materials, and performs other assignments.


As an Engineer for the Compliance & Standards Team, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Understand the operation of gas facilities to properly supply natural gas to customers
  • Develop knowledge of the installation of new facilities and the retirement of existing ones as a part of new pipeline construction program
  • Create new and revise existing Operational and Maintenance standards and procedures as needed due to regulatory requirements, audit findings, organizational changes and scheduled document reviews
  • Analyze and develop administrative, technical and work process documents in support of a natural gas utility which include but not limited to operations and maintenance activities, leak response, emergency operating and abnormal operating procedures
  • Interface with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as necessary during all phases of new or revised procedure development to ensure procedures accurately reflect current processes

This position is part of the Engineering job family (Associate Engineer/Engineer/Senior Engineer). Experience will be the determining factor.

Our Engineering positions are part of the engineering rotation program. This provides our Engineers opportunity to learn a variety of engineering functions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 0-2 yrs. relevant engineering experience (internship/co-op experience may be included as relevant engineering)
  • Applicant must have a valid driver's license and meet the company's requirements for driving
