Litigation Paralegal

Full-time, Hybrid Schedule

LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a skilled Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our client's dynamic defense team in Chicago, IL. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse, complex cases, collaborate with experienced attorneys, and contribute to the firm's continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests

  • Conducting legal research and analysis

  • Assisting with e-discovery and document review processes

  • Preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials

  • Managing case deadlines and docket entries

  • Collaborating with attorneys and other team members to ensure efficient case management


Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of recent civil litigation experience supporting multiple attorneys working in a US law firm, defense litigation preferred

  • 3+ years of recent trial preparation and previous trial attendance are required!

  • 3+ years of recent experience utilizing eDiscovery software (i.e., Relativity, Logikcull, DISCO, Everlaw, etc.)

  • 3+ years of State and Federal court filing, physical and electronic filing experience required

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, especially formatting legal documents (TOA, TOC, etc.)

  • Proficiency in legal research databases and software (i.e., Westlaw, LexisNexis, iManage, Nuance, Adobe, WorkShare, CoreRelate, etc.)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
