Job description

Job Title: Travel Superintendent

Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Travel Superintendent to join our team at a leading general contracting firm specializing in commercial construction. The Travel Superintendent will oversee and manage construction projects across multiple locations, ensuring they are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage and coordinate construction activities across multiple project sites, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and material procurement.
  • Supervise and lead on-site construction teams, ensuring work is performed according to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, quality of work, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to resolve issues, provide updates, and ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, quality control measures, and regulatory compliance across all project sites.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and project milestone updates.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Superintendent or similar role in commercial construction, with a strong background in managing multiple construction sites.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively to project sites as required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate construction teams.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid).
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
