As an Account Manager in Commercial Lines, you will have the primary responsibility of providing superior day to day client service by anticipating client needs and responding to client and producer questions and issues in a timely manner.

  • Marketing and quoting new business opportunities generated from producers/advisors with an emphasis on Business Insurance Risk Management
  • Preparing new business proposals and presenting same when requested by client or producer
  • Ordering and processing renewal and change requests with an emphasis on Business Insurance Risk Management
  • Binding, invoicing, premium collection and file documentation of assigned accounts
  • Working to ensure highest level of retention according to agency procedures and standards
  • Assisting clients in the reporting of claims
  • Maintaining accurate policy data in agency management system (AMS360)
  • Maintaining all client documents, phone records and meeting records in document management system (WorkSmart)
  • Consistently documenting activities and correspondence per agency guidelines
  • Maintaining a courteous and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, insurance carriers and other business contacts
  • Actively soliciting and processing additional lines of coverage on all accounts
  • Directing assigned Assistant Account Managers in their daily duties
  • Remaining informed regarding industry information new product information, legislation, coverage and technology
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • 5 Years prior professional experience in Commercial Lines Agency experience in a highly automated, risk management focused environment
  • Licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance in the state of IL
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products with proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and ability to work in a team environment that will also require working independently
  • Working knowledge of AMS360 and/or WorkSmart systems a strong plus
