Job description
Position Overview:
The Senior Manager IT WMS (Blue Yonder) is responsible for delivery of a successful CJ Logistics' Blue Yonder WMS instance and supporting technologies. This role will manage Blue Yonder resources and will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple WMS projects, implementations and WMS enhancements. The role acts as a WMS expert and is abreast on leading and emerging WMS technologies.
Salary Range: $123,854 - $157,914
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the Blue Yonder project team to deliver new WMS deployments, support existing WMS environments and WMS integration technologies.
- Provides leadership to team on best practices around project management, implementation methodology, and new technology analysis. .
- Evaluate current and/or intended warehouse environments, identify fit to standard solutions, create change activities, and develop risk assessment and mitigation.
- Manages third party vendors to include WMS vendor and other consulting technology vendors. Holds vendors accountable to the contract and holds leadership alignment meetings with key WMS vendors.
- Accountability of all project execution and deliverables.
- Updates leadership and occasionally executive level leadership on project status and updates.
- As needed, execute system configuration, implementation, and testing activities within the scope of a project
- Engages stakeholders on business needs for WMS. Prioritizes and plans resources against business deliverables. Act as a change agent and business partners with the transition from as-is / to-be processes and systems.
- Proactively evaluate system performance to identify issues or opportunities for improvement. Executes improvements.
- Lead teams through new customer onboarding resulting in define, configuration, functional and integration testing of the warehouse solution
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred. Equivalent related work will be considered.
- 10+ years of experience leading WMS Implementations, warehouse operations focused continual improvement, or other relevant experience.
- 7+ years of supply chain experience.
- 5+ years leading a team consisting of business analysts, developers and system engineers
- 3+ years of systems configuration and development of Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, or similar WMS
- Nice to have - Performed an upgrade of Blue Yonder or other systems
- Strong communication skills, oral and written. Ability to communicate effectively to executive leadership team.
- Analytical skills and experience identifying potential issues and developing contingency plans.
- Capable of being a strong team leader while able to manage your own priorities.
- Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
