Job Summary: We are looking for a Financial Analyst or Sr. Financial Analyst, based upon experience to join our Finance department. Main responsibilities are performing, reporting, and communicating financial analyses for the business.
As a Financial Analyst, you will collaborate with the financial staff to provide accurate and timely financial information to management. You will also assist in developing and implementing cost-effective solutions to improve the profitability and efficiency of our company.
To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 3-5 years of experience. You should also have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of accounting software and principles.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Analyze financial data, prepare reports such as budgetary comparisons, profit analyses, financial ratios, operations reviews, and other financial analyses.
- Partner with Controller and CFO to provide time sensitive and accurate reporting to corporate parent on monthly / quarterly / HY / annual / ad hoc basis.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating our 3-year financial statement file, with actuals, forecast, and budget.
- Generation of the monthly internal financial statement package and related reports and analyses and entry into Cognos.
- Prepare and monitor actuals vs. forecast vs. budget and analyze and communicate variances to departmental management and executive team.
- Manage the weekly and monthly cash forecasting process.
- Lead the annual budget process and related reports and analyses.
- Provide financial support and guidance to project managers and department heads.
- Assist with month-end close and the half year and full year Stat Pack submittal to Group.
- Assist with analytics and financial reporting support for internal and external financial and compliance audits.
- Monitor and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Other related duties and special projects as determined by management.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required; a Master's Degree and/or CPA is preferred.
- 2-5 years of financial analysis experience. Experience working in manufacturing / job shop environment and/or public accounting a plus.
- Strong computer skills to include an expert level of proficiency with Excel spreadsheet modelling skills and experience with financial statement report writer tools. Cognos and Power BI experience a plus.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics D365 a plus.
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
