Job description

Position's Contributions to Work Group:

This position contributes to the Electrical Components Division by setting up, executing and reporting on tests completed on sensors and switches. The job is mostly hands on, building tests setups and interfacing with test equipment with some computer work communicating results and status.

Typical task breakdown:

  • The typical day in this position is very much self directed.

  • Goals are set at the beginning of the week and each technician is empowered to execute activities the best way that they can in order to meet their objectives.

  • Some tests are time dependent but flexibility is given as needed.

    Work environment:

  • Onsite full time

  • Start can be flexibly between 6am-8am

    Technical Skills

    (Required)

  • Logical thinking skills and good troubleshooting skills are very helpful.

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft suite of tools

  • Understanding of troubleshooting and component testing

  • Ability to work with hands

    (Desired)

  • A background in electronics is desired, but not required.

  • Experience working with hydraulics

    Education & Experience Required:

  • A 2 year technology degree is preferred, but we would be open to candidates with a high school diploma provided they have 2 years of work experience in a technical field such as electronics, auto repair or manufacturing/assembly.

  • Alternate job titles that would apply would be anything in the technician or automotive repair fields.

    Soft Skills

    (Required)

  • Communicating verbally and through email as well as negotiating needs with other technicians.

  • Strict assembly experience is not sufficient to perform duties of this role
