Position Summary:

As a Licensed Occupational Therapist at KGH Autism Services, you will be at the forefront of transformative care for children with autism. You'll have the opportunity to design and implement innovative, evidence-based treatment programs that foster independence and enrich the lives of our clients and their families. Job Responsibilities
Program Development:

Conduct engaging training and presentations to promote awareness and support program initiatives.
Mentor practicum students and contribute to professional development for staff.
Uphold the highest professional and ethical standards in all activities.

Consultation:

Facilitate workshops for families and schools, providing ongoing support and training.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team-including Speech Therapists, Mental Health Providers, and more-to implement best practice interventions tailored for children with autism.

Treatment:

Conduct thorough assessments and develop Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs) focused on the unique needs of each child.
Utilize evidence-based methods to design and implement effective therapy programs.
Monitor client progress and adapt treatment strategies to ensure optimal outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Occupational Therapist Qualifications:

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
Possess a license to practice Occupational Therapy in Illinois or demonstrated eligibility pending application.
Previous experience in a pediatric setting is preferred.
Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or related disorders preferred.
Knowledge and experience with advanced Sensory Processing Disorders preferred.
