Job description

Duties Develops or provides guidance to staff members for the development of overall program directives,policies, procedures and activities. Formulates and initiates action to bring about more effective, efficient, and economical logistical operations support. Maintains an Internal Operating Budget for the team. Plans work to be accomplished by team members, sets priorities, and establishes schedules for work completion. Directs and manages the conduct of broad, all-encompassing analytical studies upon which procedural and requirement determinations will be predicated. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly. This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Advanced Level certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty. This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP): Acquisition Corps Membership is no longer required for Critical Acquisition Positions (CAP . CAP selectees must execute a 3-year tenure agreement. This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Coordinating/planning team projects and analyses; 2) Demonstrating knowledge of Army and other Service components and commands both within and outside of the continental United States; 3) Analyzing ammunition war plan requirements AND 4) Planning and coordinating exercises/drills. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Applicants must confirm eligibility and minimum qualification requirements within 30 calendar days of the closing date of the announcement. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed 3 years specific date or number of years by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted.
