Key Responsibilities:

• Apply purchasing strategies and create and implement new strategies that enhance competitive advantage for the company and its customers.


• Provide risk and cost management in the development and maintenance of strategic supplier relationships.


• Manage supplier base to ensure an appropriate supply of materials and related items to meet current and future production needs.


• Develop and implement cost savings and reduction plans.


• Work closely with Production Planners, Production Supervisors to understand current business need and production status.


• Contribute to the overall materials cost savings goal by developing and implementing savings initiatives for your commodities.


• Responsible for selection and development of reliable suppliers, control of pricing and quality of goods.


• Will follow up on open orders and expedite as necessary.


• Responsible for maintaining a computerized purchase and inventory system.


• Responsible to perform continuous improvement of the value stream purchasing processes

Requirements

• Bachelors preferred but open on degree.


• MRO purchasing experience


• 2+ years of related work experience in purchasing or inventory


• Intermediate computer knowledge (Windows, Excel, email, internet, ect)


• Experience with MRP or SAP
