Welcome to AHW! We are hiring a Sprayer Service Technician for our location in Somonauk, IL (about 35 miles west of Naperville). In this role you will work independently performing complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer agricultural equipment, with a focus on Commercial Application Equipment repair. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager or ASP Complete Goods Rep.

We are an 18 location John Deere Dealership, selling agriculture equipment such tractors, combines, sprayers, riding mowers, and other commercial equipment and more across east central/northern Illinois and western Indiana. What you will do:

• Performs complex diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products, with a focus in Commercial Application Equipment
• Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
• Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents on work order
• May promote and sell dealer service programs directly to customers
• Maintains the condition of service vehicles, trailers, tools and equipment
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments
• Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties
• May perform pre-delivery set-up and inspection on new equipment
• Maintains a safe working environment and adheres to company safety program at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned

What we re looking for:

• 3+ years of experience performing service repairs with a focus in Commercial Application Equipment
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to perform complex repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment
• Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of equipment
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
