POSITION: Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) Security Solution Application Support
LOCATION: Scott AFB, IL
REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret

POSITION SUMMARY:
The CSSP Security Solution Application Support role is critical to supporting USTRANSCOM's Cyberspace Operations Forces (COF) at Scott Air Force Base, IL. The role involves administering, integrating, tuning, and optimizing cybersecurity defense tools that support both network and host-based defense capabilities. Additionally, the position requires the integration of USTRANSCOM's cybersecurity tools with Joint Information Environment (JIE) systems, Joint Regional Security Stacks (JRSS), Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise services, and other relevant technologies. The individual will be responsible for safeguarding USTRANSCOM's NIPRNet and SIPRNet enclaves, covering both cloud and on-premises environments, by applying cybersecurity defense tools and processes. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
CSSP Security Solution Administration Support:
• Support CSSP security solutions per DoD and USTRANSCOM directives.
• Install, configure, and manage government-furnished cybersecurity tool suites.
• Utilize network and host-based tools such as HBSS/ESS, NIDS, EDR, and SIEM.
• Safeguard USTRANSCOM's NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and cloud environments with defense tools. CSSP Solution Installation Support:
• Install cybersecurity tools following USTRANSCOM processes, including RMF and change management.
• Coordinate hardware/software procurement and lifecycle upgrades.
• Manage projects with government tools, ensuring IAVM and STIG compliance.
• Conduct testing, develop authorization documentation, and optimize performance. CSSP Security Solution Daily Operations and Maintenance:
• Maintain and operate cybersecurity defense tools, ensuring policy compliance.
• Provide application support (troubleshooting, updates, testing, and incident resolution).
• Manage whitelisting, compliance, patches, and service assurance for defense tools.
• Perform annual software/license inventory and maintain network security posture.
• Configure tools per USCYBERCOM, JFHQ DODIN, and USTRANSCOM guidance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve tool-related issues, providing risk-based recommendations.
• Manage Ports, Protocols, and Services, and account access control.
• Document changes and provide configuration data to the government.
CSSP Security Solution Metrics and Documentation:
• Collect and report monthly cybersecurity metrics, including:
o Rule/policy modifications, countermeasures, uptime statistics, and device compliance.
o Rogue system status and remediation efforts.
• Maintain and submit cybersecurity documentation, including SOPs and build guides (HBSS, ESS, EDR, NIDS). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Five or more years of relevant Cybersecurity Technician experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT-II Baseline Certification: (Ex. Sec+ CE)
• Tanium/Crowdstrike or other security tool administration.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
At the time of hire or within 6 months of start date, the individual must have these valid certifications:
• CSSP Incident Responder (CSSP-IR).
• CSSP Infrastructure Support (CSSP-IS). SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not supervise the work of others. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%. TRAVEL:
Very little.
