Job Title: Journeyman Financial Analyst Location: Scott Air Force Base Positions: Multiple Clearance: Active DOD Secret clearance Salary: Please provide your salary requirement Job Overview: Knowledge Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced Journeyman Accounting Analyst to provide advanced accounting and financial operations support for the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Joint Financial Operations & Systems Support (JFOSS) Program. This position involves sustaining audit readiness in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and supporting USTRANSCOM's data strategy, business intelligence, and automation efforts. As a mid-level professional, you will collaborate with the Financial Management Directorate (TCJ8) to provide critical functional expertise in identifying and resolving auditability issues between transportation and financial systems and/or processes. This is an on-site position at Scott Air Force Base. Key Responsibilities: Provide in-depth accounting and financial operations support to USTRANSCOM's TCJ8 Financial Management Directorate, ensuring adherence to GAAP. Lead efforts to maintain audit readiness by identifying, analyzing, and resolving discrepancies in transportation and financial systems and processes. Support and advise on USTRANSCOM's data strategy, data management, business intelligence, and robotic process automation (RPA) initiatives. Perform complex research and analysis of financial data to identify gaps, ensure accuracy, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations and policies. Lead cross-functional efforts to resolve auditability challenges and enhance the integration between transportation and financial systems. Prepare detailed financial reports, statements, and audit documentation, ensuring transparency and facilitating audit processes. Propose and implement process improvements to strengthen financial reporting, audit readiness, and overall system efficiency. Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3-10 years of relevant experience in accounting, auditing, or financial analysis, preferably in a government or military environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP and audit readiness best practices. Proficiency with financial management systems and processes. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools. Experience with data strategy, business intelligence, and RPA systems is highly desirable. Ability to work on-site at Scott Air Force Base near St. Louis, MO. Additional Desired Skills: Previous experience supporting audit readiness efforts for federal government agencies. Familiarity with USTRANSCOM systems, processes, and financial operations is a plus.
