Opening: Physician - Surgeon Specialty: Otolaryngology (ENT) Position Type: Locum Tenens Facility: Outpatient and Inpatient Location: Illinois Start Date: ASAP, Once credentialed, Avg 60-90 days Length: 3+ months ongoing Shift Description: 1 week per month, Clinic is 7A - 5P, Monday-Friday, with back up call outside of those hours. No weekends as of now. Call Requirements: One 5p-7a overnight call per week of duty. Details: Board Certified preferred but will consider truly Board Eligible (ideal candidate would have fellowship in Head/Neck Surgical Oncology or Rhinology/Sinus) 1 week per month (7a-5p, M-F, no weekends as of now) Call Duty: Backup to APPs during day and overnight call when on service. No facial trauma call. Call burden is typically not substantial (1-2 consults per day on weekends, rare operative cases on weekends and nights). 20-25 patients in clinic. No specific dates needed, just as soon as credentialed. Locum will be in clinic and on call. Should expect to have a clinic schedule and surgery schedule, plus take call. Procedures: Elective surgical volume mainly tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies and ear tubes. "Bread and butter" ENT for call. No facial trauma call. Credentials: Active Illinois license.
