Job description

Duties Receives, reviews, and verifies accuracy and completeness of accounting transactions including disbursements and collections Enters data into accounting systems. Corrects invalid/incorrect entries Prepares trial balances to check the status and accuracy of accounts. Verifies, balances, and reconciles detailed supporting documentation with listings, automated reports, and/or reports. Qualifications Who May Apply: To be eligible for consideration you must meet the definition as defined below: Post-Secondary Current Student: a person who, (1) is currently enrolled in, and in good academic standing at, a full-time program at an institution of higher education; and (2) is making satisfactory progress towards receipt of a baccalaureate or graduate degree; and (3) has completed at least one year of the program. TO BE QUALIFIED: Applicants must meet: For the GS-03 grade level: Completion of 1 full academic year of post high school study. For the GS-04 grade level: Completion of 2 full academic years of post-high school study or associate's degree. To be eligible, you must submit unofficial/official transcripts with the current enrollment period course load in order to verify completion of one academic year of baccalaureate or graduate degree. The absence of this information will result in an ineligible rating. To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education Education For the GS-03 grade level: Completion of 1 full academic year of post high school study. For the GS-04 grade level: Completion of 2 full academic years of post-high school study or associate's degree. Additional information PROGRAM COMPLETION AND CONVERSION ELIGIBILITY: Upon successful completion of their academic program and the intern program, students may be converted to term or permanent position in the competitive service consistent with agency needs, academic achievement, and demonstrated potential. Conversion potential for this opportunity is a GS-0501 5/7/9 up to the full performance level of GS-11. However, future budgetary events, hiring restrictions, conversion caps, or other events may preclude the conversion or conversion to a position with the full potential performance level. Individuals converted to a position in the competitive service may be subjected to participation in an agency formal development program.
