Physical Therapy Assistant Yorkville, IL (50 miles west of Chicago)We are looking for a dedicated Physical therapy Assistant to join our practice full time in Yorkville, IL. Our office is located approximately 50 miles west of Chicago. We are seeking an IL licensed Physical therapy assistant with experience in outpatient musculoskeletal physical therapy, who enjoys doing manual work with the patients, helping them to reach their healthcare goals safely and effectively. The ideal candidate is compassionate, caring, and focuses on functional improvement, rather than only pain management, and is a team player. Must be comfortable treating a combination of spinal and extremity disorders, as well as post-surgical patients within a multidisciplinary rehab setting.Who we are:Our dynamic, multidisciplinary health team has been serving high quality care to the community of Yorkville for over 18 years. Our medical doctor, physical therapist, rehabilitation specialist, two rehabilitation technicians, certified athletic trainer and PTAs are supported by an equally skilled and dedicated staff. Instead of insisting on one or two types of care, we combine whatever healing methods may be necessary to help our patients obtain optimal function, comfort, and quality of life. Our wide range of services includes advanced diagnostics, chiropractic care, physical rehabilitation, massage therapy and physical therapy. We treat a variety of conditions with approximately 80% spinal and 20% extremity care as well as post-surgical cases.Our integrative, holistic approach to physical medicine combines multiple healing modalities as needed, putting them to work for our patients health, healing, and wellness. We look forward to helping our patients lives happier, healthier, and more rewarding!Duties: Outpatient musculoskeletal physical therapy Applying/assisting the prescribed exercises with the patients Providing manual work for patients (15 min to 60 min) Collaboration with the PTs, chiropractic physicians, MD, and other healthcare staff to help the patient reach their goals Upholding state and national ethics and guidelines as expected of a PTA Stay current on continuing education requirements Documentation and Progress notes Patient education as to care plan options, therapies/modalities and rehab exercisesQualifications: Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in IL Willingness to work as a multidisciplinary team for optimal comprehensive patient careSchedule: Monday Friday (office hours end at 1 on Friday) No weekend hoursSalary: $25-$35/hr (depending on experience)Benefits: Vacation/PTO- 20 days Health insurance stipend Simple IRA with 3% match Continuing education stipend/year ($1,000) Paid License Renewal Paid Malpractice insuranceOur primary focus is to combine various facets of medicine to provide maximum functional improvement for our patients.
