Job description

Actively develops and interviews agricultural loan applicants and makes credit recommendations and decisions within limited loan authority. Processes loan applications, prepares appropriate documentation, maintains customer relationships, and manages a portfolio of dairy, crop and agribusiness loans. While agricultural clients are the primary focus, new agribusiness, commercial, and commercial real estate client relationships are also desirable. Consistently delivers an experience that leaves customers with a positive emotional impression of the bank, its employees and products & services.

Actively develops agricultural and/or commercial loan portfolio by participating in activities for the purpose of attracting new business.

Meets with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.

Analyzes applicant financial status, credit and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.

Submits applications to credit analysts for verification and recommendation.

Works with clients to identify their financial goals and to find ways of reaching those goals.

Stays abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and product to better meet customer's needs.

Markets bank products to individuals and firms, promoting bank services that may meet the customer's needs.

Provides special services such as investment banking for clients with more specialized needs.

Maintains customer relationships and manages a portfolio of agricultural and commercial loans.

May assist with or coordinate collection efforts.

Maintains a working knowledge of FSA and USDA programs and services and has a relationship with local offices

Is able to meet performance targeted results

Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field equivalent experience.

Minimum of two years loan experience.

Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written)

Strong knowledge of commercial products, credit policies, procedures and terminology

Excellent customer-service skills and well-developed sales skills
