The University Information Technology Services Endpoint Lifecycle team is a group that aims to be the sole source for computer endpoint ordering and lifecycle coordination for the university. We work with customers, vendors and our IT support partners to procure, image, and deploy high quality computer equipment. Our team strives to provide the highest level of support for IU staff and faculty.
Job Summary
- Assists with organizing equipment for the Project Salmon computer lifecycle project.
- Works with IU support groups to plan the deployment schedule for project salmon equipment.
- Monitors project salmon equipment inventory as to what has been received and what is still being processed by vendors.
- Meets with the Endpoint Lifecycle manager to review prioritization and order fulfillment and general project management oversight.
- Shadows other Endpoint Lifecycle team members to understand the functions of their roles in the computer endpoint procurement, prep, and surplus process.
- May work in the day to day process of equipment.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
- Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University with an interest in IT project management
- Currently enrolled in Information Technology, Informatics, or other computing/engineering field major or minor
Required
- Experience in using Microsoft Excel

- Strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates project management skills
- Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, ServiceNow ticketing system
Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
