Job description

TRISTAR is seeking a Test Engineer for our government customer in Bloomington, IN Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer to support our team in research, testing, evaluation (T&E) of data analytics and cloud networking systems
This individual will analyze and assess data systems, document technical requirements, design and execute test programs, and develop solutions to complex system integration challenges. Ensuring reliability, performance, safety, and maintainability Position Responsibilities Support research and assessment of data analytics and cloud networking systems and equipment to identify recommended technical requirements and document findings
Identify and develop recommended solutions to interface challenges, and review and analyze system tolerances
Perform system tests to assess overall performance, operability, safety, reliability, and maintainability
Review and evaluate Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for potential impacts to system interfaces
Conduct Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Verification and Validation (V&V) activities, including operational demonstrations for new and emerging facility capabilities and laboratory systems
Analyze technical data necessary for the development of Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), and verify data sufficiency using TRD checklists
Design and engineer Test Program Sets (TPSs) and develop consolidated automated support systems
Develop test plans, procedures, test beds, and associated reports, including Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMPs), system qualifications, first article testing, and production acceptance testing (PAT&E)
Test and analyze existing software simulations and recommend modifications or develop new models for data analytics and cloud data networks integration Requirements
Experience with data analytics, cloud networking systems, and technical data documentation
Strong understanding of system integration, testing methodologies, and engineering principles
Experience with Test and Evaluation (T&E), Verification and Validation (V&V) processes, and handling Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
Ability to design and develop Test Program Sets, and automated test systems
Knowledge of software simulations and familiarity with system qualifications, production acceptance testing, and quality evaluation test plans
Excellent communication skills and the ability to document technical data clearly and concisely
Experience with cloud-based data systems integration and advanced data analytics tools
Hands-on experience in laboratory environments, testing new technologies, and assessing operational demonstrations
Must be a US Citizen
Must have active Secret Clearance Education and Certification Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field COVID Policy: TRISTAR does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
