we are a leading manufacturer known for our innovation, quality, and commitment to excellence. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing Accountant to join our finance team. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, cost management, and inventory control within our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing:

• Cost Accounting:

  • Analyze and manage production costs, including labor, material, and overhead expenses.
  • Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts to support financial planning.
  • Monitor and report on manufacturing variances and provide actionable insights to management.

• Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory accounting, including the reconciliation of physical inventory counts with system records.
  • Maintain accurate inventory valuation in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Collaborate with operations to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs.

• Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements related to manufacturing operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

• Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Work with the finance team to develop and manage budgets for manufacturing operations.
  • Provide financial analysis and support to operational managers, helping them understand financial performance and make informed decisions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of cost control strategies.

• Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting and inventory management.
  • Support the integration of new systems or tools to improve financial and operational reporting capabilities.

Qualifications of the Manufacturing:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing accounting or cost accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
