Job description

Electrical Maintenance Engineer - $90-100K + Bonus - Industrial Products Manufacturing (Primary Metals Foundry, Chemicals, Pulp & Paper, Mining & Minerals, Oil & Gas Refinery) - Maintenance Responsibilities: Schedule and oversee reliability and electrical maintenance work (link removed) Assist in planning repairs and improvements in the plant electrical distribution system(link removed) Troubleshoot and maintain generator control systems and high voltage equipment, including transformers, breakers, disconnects, protective relaying, etc. Interface with bargaining unit (electricians, mechanics), supervisors, and engineers(link removed) Monitor/control electrical spares inventory(link removed) Willing to work extended hours and respond to off hour call outs when necessary(link removed)



Safety Responsibilities: Performs area Layered Safety Audits, Hazard Assessments, safety observations and ASI s. Participates with the development and upgrade of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Develops and issues electrical switching procedures for maintenance activities.





BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred. Will consider Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology. 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment such as (Primary Metals Foundry, Chemicals, Pulp & Paper, Mining & Minerals, Oil & Gas Refinery). Excellent troubleshooting skills and failure analysis. Knowledge of industrial power equipment. Electrical testing and measurement. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet programs. Minimum five (5) years of experience in Industrial High Voltage Electrical Distribution and supervisory experience. Excellent knowledge of OSHA NEC and National Electrical Safety Code standards. Experienced with CMMS and work order systems. Six Sigma experience a plus. PE is a plus.
