Organization Overview:

Meeting Room Tech Solutions (MRTS) is a service within the Workforce Collaboration Services organization that delivers a new IT-focus approach to the technology used in Conference Rooms and other meeting spaces. We take historically offline Audio-Visual components and bring them online where they can be centrally managed, allowing for faster upgrades and enhanced report-ability of issues and usage data.

The MRTS Platform/Execution Lead is an integral role within the Meeting Room Tech Solutions team which serves as both a platform custodian/SME of the production environment as well as an Execution Lead for various meeting space projects. This position will focus on driving the AV management into Cloud based services, while sustaining the operational and life cycle management of Meeting Room Tech Solutions for platforms and clients. While the primary focus of the role is on the IT that makes virtual meetings a reality in our conference rooms, a smaller portion of the role will focus on the tactical planning and deployment of meeting spaces in the US, including financial planning and budget tracking. The key to performing this role is to engage with the business customer, interact with vendors, and deliver on projects while utilizing excellent interpersonal and time management skills

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  • Work closely with managed service vendor to maintain operational runtime of all Microsoft/Logitech/Crestron services.
  • Integrate services with Lilly Identity and Federation services
  • Help enhance processes for global deployment device code and configuration for Microsoft/Logitech/Crestron equipment.
  • Updating of quality, security and operational documentation as needed.
  • Work closely with the vendors to manage the device firmware version being used
  • Uploading and maintenance of device firmware
  • Creating and maintaining monitoring systems alerts and highlighting them to appropriate support teams.
  • Work to integrate alerts into Lilly's Service Now incident management system
  • Notification to appropriate support teams of planned outages or of assets with extended outages
  • Adding and maintaining Asset Management Database with deployment information
  • Manage the successful delivery of conference room and meeting space transformation projects.
  • Aid in the development of lifecycle management (LCM) models for funding and execution.
  • Assist with expense tracking and forecast for projects and MRTS service.
  • Assist team members in the operational excellence of the MRTS service, including making sure SNOW KAs, CIs, are up to date, and incidents are being tracked and closed by MRTS team & AV integrators within MRTS SLAs.
  • Undertake other responsibilities as directed by supervisor Meeting Room Tech Solutions

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in an Information Technology-related field

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Thorough understanding of industry standards and best practices for computer system validation
  • A combination of experience and knowledge of the following technology categories: Web Servers (IIS, Apache), Operating Systems (Linux, Windows), Load Balancing and High Availability, Database Management Systems (Oracle, SQL Server, Custom Scripts),
  • Experience in working in an international and multicultural environment where team members are spread into different countries
  • Understanding of ITIL processes, with demonstrated learning agility
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational, time utilization skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with Strong Analysis/Problem Assessment Skills
  • Demonstrated Teamwork/Interpersonal Skills, self-motivated team players who thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment and love consuming technology, while having the ability to perform work under limited direction and guidance.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, influence and lead both with and without authority, as well as strong interpersonal, leadership and collaboration skills.
