The Sr. Associate Project Management, Divestiture Task Force will have the following responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Project Manager, coordinator, and record keeper for the task force.
  • Coordinate all business development due diligence gathering, negotiation records, and meetings prior to deal signing. Including updating Inova and all SharePoint record keeping activities.
  • Create project tasks and timelines to keep deal teams and transition teams on track to execute transactions within the agreed timelines with Lilly Leadership.
  • Manage global divestiture projects from 1 year post close through to the end of the transition and supply period.
  • Manage regional divestiture projects after 30 days post-close through to the end of the transition and supply period.
  • Coordinate, lead, and facilitate the successful transfer of "Know How" to the purchasing party per the contract.

Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Smartsheet, SharePoint, and Microsoft Software
  • Experience working in global divestitures.
  • Highly organized skills, with knowledge of working through ambiguity.
  • Deep expertise in Project Management working with internal and external parties.
  • Able to take on challenges and find solutions, regardless of having direct accountability or reporting responsibility, lead by influence.
  • Excellent judgment regarding the "how", "what", and "when" of addressing divestiture partners and key stakeholders with sensitive issues.
  • Strong verbal and written skills - able to address and persuade key stakeholders to follow a set course of action. Able to distill complex ideas down to action plans.
  • Significant mediation skills for group or individual interactions.
  • Able to work across cultures - both corporate and national cultural boundaries
  • Able to work independently and cooperate and collaborate with all levels of an organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Minimum >3 years of combined project management, alliance management, and/or International Business Unit experience.
  • Prosci Change Management Professional
  • Education: Undergraduate degree (BS)
  • Familiarity with Lilly's partnering/Corporate Business Development process
  • Previous experience with one of Lilly's key partnerships or divestitures
  • Experience in working with OUS markets
