Organization Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated research associate with hands-on experience with human immune cells to join our Immunosafety team within the ATPLV department. This is a lab-based position based in Indianapolis, IN. This position offers a unique opportunity to work and grow in a dynamic and highly interactive environment developing your career at the interface between drug safety and drug development.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will demonstrate a high level of passion for innovative scientific research leading to the discovery and development of novel therapeutics. You will primarily work with human immune cells from healthy donors in vitro. You will contribute to the characterization of the immunogenicity and immunosafety risks of novel drug candidates.

You will:
  • drive innovation and scientific excellence through rigorous research
  • contribute to the development of new assays and novel techniques
  • create and maintain a productive and collaborative work environment
  • work closely with highly accomplished scientists across different functional teams and locations.
  • work with outside vendors to oversee outsourced studies
Basic Requirements:

MS in biology, immunology, or a relevant field with 2+ years of full-time research experience in Immunology, Cell Biology, In vitro Pharmacology or related scientific area.

Or

BS in biology, immunology, or a relevant field with 5+ years of full-time research experience in Immunology, Cell Biology, In vitro Pharmacology or related scientific area.

Additional Skills/Preferences:
  • Broad range of software proficiency including FlowJo, Prism
  • Strong hands-on skills with human immune cell culture, multicolor flow-cytometry, functional assays and assay development are essential. Experience with T cell responses is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, record protocols and experiments detailed and in an efficient manner and maintain an excellent laboratory notebook.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to critically analyze data set are essential.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
