What You'll Be Doing
Your primary role is to implement Manufacturing and Quality (MQ) Data Strategy and Governance. Key responsibilities include leading and operationalizing MQ technical aspects of data governance ensuring timely delivery of standards for MQ's global data domains in working very closely with Enterprise Data strategy. The position collaborates closely with business data domain leads, Products owners and teams. Additionally, you will implement data strategies, put into practice global governance processes, and support MQ.
How You'll Succeed
- You will bring your business and technical knowledge and experience to design, develop, implement, enhance, and maintain M&Q Data Governance with deep understanding of Manufacturing and Quality business processes, including Supply Chain and lab processes.
- Must have a combination of technical and soft skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement with M&Q Data domain leaders.
- Must communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, influence decision making at all leadership levels, adept at networking and building strong professional relationships.
- Proactively monitor and stay abreast of evolving business and technology trends, in the realm of data standards and quality. Continuously seek out innovative approaches to enhance our processes.
- Experience with cGMP regulations, Data Integrity requirements and maintaining quality deliverables.
- Ensure documented processes and procedures are in place for all activities to meet quality and compliance standards.
- Leverage an agile mindset and framework for the entire product lifecycle including designing, implementing, automating, modernizing, maintaining, and optimizing data standards, domains, and products.
- Coach and mentor team members on best practices and standards.
- Must have a strong understanding of corporate computer system validation requirements according to Lilly Quality Standards, providing technical guidance to the global and site teams ensuring quality of operations and deliverables.
What You Should Bring
- Experience with Data strategies, implementing Data governance and standards.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements, including GxP standards, data privacy, and data security concepts and best practices.
- Create and nurture a robust data governance framework for MQ data domains and products throughout their lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with Functional Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Technology experts.
- Establish Technology standards, automation of Data governance processes in close collaboration with Data Integration and Analytics (DIA) teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and articulate complex technical concepts.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Set foundational governance policies and procedures.
- Form domain working groups to drive governance initiatives.
- Establish data standards and quality rules to enhance data integrity and business quality.
- ERP, LIMS, MES or other manufacturing systems data standards design, development, and/or support.
Your Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related technical field.
- With a minimum of 7+ years in IT leadership roles, Data strategies driving strategic initiatives and fostering team growth.
- Excel in negotiation, driving consensus across complex stakeholder groups to achieve desired business outcomes. Combine assertiveness with effective change management.
