The Digital Research Scientist role in Network TS/MS will be responsible for driving the Digital agenda for Global TSMS. Through engagement with Manufacturing Sites, Central groups and in conjunction with the Digital Sponsor for TSMS, this role will development the Digital Strategy for TSMS and establish a Digital Transformation Program that will span the SPE horizon. The focus on the Digital Strategy will align with Global TSMS needs and initiatives over the next 5-year period, including proactive process monitoring, Data access and contextualization, Product and Process Knowledge transfer. The Digital Research Scientist will work closely with IDS to identify and develop to appropriate digital solutions to provide current and future capability for the TSMS representatives and Process Teams to deliver on the requirement of Manufacturing Standards and Operational Excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Digital Sponsor for TSMS to develop the TSMS Digital Strategy for Global TSMS and establish the Digital Transformation Program to align with the developed strategy.
- Responsible for leading the TSMS Digital Transformation strategy to ensure the needs of central, network and local site TSMS functions are met.
- Develop right digital solutions to provide product and process knowledge centric data for the TSMS function. Work with the Digital Sponsor to drive POCs through Digital Plant Steering team if/when appropriate.
- This position will provide leadership and clear vision to consistently improve process data capabilities for the Manufacturing and Quality organization through Process Teams to facilitate process understanding and optimization.
- Ensures digital solutions are deployed in conjunction with existing process monitoring and product knowledge programs
- Responsible for delivering and lifecycle management of global TSMS digital solutions
- Responsible for embedding digital solutions within the TSMS function to ensure value of such solutions is maximized
- Work with the Digital Sponsor for TSMS to establish and TSMS Digitalization Community and lead this group to deliver:
- strong connections with local site TSMS functions
- sharing of ideas/solutions between sites and networks
- identify synergies and harmonization opportunities
- Two-way communication channel between central, network and site TSMS functions
- Provide leadership for TSMS by representing the function in global digital programs and cross-functional digital initiatives
- Partner with MQ IDS to deliver TSMS digitalization roadmap
- Liaise with Development organization to identify collaboration opportunities to utilize digital solutions to harmonize the product knowledge transfer from development to manufacturing.
- Keep up to date with industry trends in digital transformation as it pertains to process and product data solutions
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or higher in science, engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical GMP operations
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- 5+ years experience in TSMS functions
- Strong understanding of central, network and site TSMS responsibilities and needs
- Experience with Lilly data and knowledge management solutions
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently, self-sufficiently and pro-actively in the performance of work duties.
- Ability to resolve conflict, and promote good decision making among team members
- High level understanding of the core TSMS business - the key needs and responsibilities of the function
- Experience with collaborating with IDS to deploy digital solutions

Additional Information:
- This is an onsite position that will require onsite presence the majority of the time. This is not a remote position.
- Position would need to be hosted at a Lilly manufacturing facility.
- Business title may vary depending on leveling at the time of offer.
