JOB SUMMARY
The Stress Testing RN provides supervision of the Cardiac Exercise Test to include the following: Echocardiography, Pharmacological Stress Echocardiography, Exercise Stress Testing, and Stress Radionuclide Cardiac Imagine (exercise and pharmacological) under the direct supervision of a physician. This position records and evaluates the professional nursing care provided to patients in the Nuclear Imaging and Cardiology Department for ages 18 to geriatrics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Participates in promoting patient flow.
Assesses the patient.
Serve as RN supervising exercise tests, stress echocardiography, pharmacological stress echocardiography and stress radionuclide cardiac imaging.
Organize tasks.
Performs all procedures with technical accuracy and a thorough understanding of all procedures performed.
In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system.
Knowledge of radiation safety and equipment safety.
In-depth knowledge of transferring procedures to CD's for permanent record.
Documents procedures, inspects all equipment routinely. Ability to troubleshoot equipment.
Proficiency while performing any of the following procedures: RN role Treadmill testing or Drug Administration.
Assists in providing optimum care for patients undergoing cardiac testing by possessing necessary knowledge of cardiac disease.
Assists in with and promotes education and competency of EKG technicians. Serves as mentor to Cardiology technicians and sonographers.
Promotes a safe environment.
Position would be required to support inpatient/outpatient settings and would require travel to other locations.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Current licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Critical Care Department with Advanced knowledge of Electrocardiographic (EKG) Interpretation required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Strong leadership and critical thinking skills.
Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
