Lilly is currently constructing an advanced manufacturing facility for production of API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) molecules located in Lebanon, IN. This facility is Lilly's largest investment in manufacturing capacity and is intended to provide APIs for current and future products, including new modalities. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the startup team for a greenfield manufacturing site, and the successful candidate will help to build the processes and facility to enable a successful startup into GMP manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
Safety - Work safely and continually looks for improvements in personnel and equipment safety, ensure safe design and operation of new equipment, ensure automation design reflects safety concerns for operations and maintenance.
Automation/Control Discipline and Technical Responsibilities -
Partner with colleagues to properly support and enhance the Site utilities automated systems.
Perform solution assessment and performance reviews and verified the proper and efficient operation of the automated systems.
Design and implement Utilities Automatic tools (Monitoring, Reporting) to assist with the management of utilities operations.
Enable, support, and implement automation strategies for the integrations of utilities equipment (Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air Compressors, Purified Water Generation, Waste Management, Solvent Recovery, etc) with the site main monitoring, management systems (DeltaV, PI).
Support day to day Utilities Automated Systems operations during systems failures, equipment troubleshooting and event managements.
Provides feedback and/or implement solutions focusing on improve utilities systems performance.
Provide technical coaching and consultation to other Site Engineers, Technician and Operation supporters as needed.
Support Projects and new equipment/technologies integrations to that might impact utilities infrastructure and capabilities.
Keep current on external trends and practices to evaluate technology for application within Lilly.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Technology, or a related field
5+ years of experience in automation machine control, process control, Utilities Automation and Environmental Control Systems
Willing to work on under shift rotations
Additional Preferences:
Demonstrated ability to work safely.
Demonstrated expertise in two or more automation platforms (PLC, DCS, DDC, PAT), preferable Delta-V and Rockwell Automation Systems.
Significant experience and strong problem-solving skills in measurements, control (process and/or manufacturing), control systems, integration, and data.

Solvent Recovery (Azeotropes pressure Swing distillation)
Cryo-Condenser
Building Management Systems (HVAC, Chill Water, Power, Security)
Wastewater Managements
Purified Water Generations and distribution
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to work in teams to deliver and achieve project and sites objectives.
Knowledge of GMP's and pharmaceutical manufacturing
Knowledge in Microsoft Operating Systems
