AMG Specialty Hospital - Central Indiana Muncie campus is seeking a Full-Time Lead Respiratory Therapist, RT, with 2-4 years of critical care/ICU experience, current BLS and ACLS, and leadership experience preferably.

Responsibilities include preparation of Respiratory staff schedule and overseeing department reports, the performance of technical work concerned with administering therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities. Operating and monitoring respiratory equipment, such as, continuous and intermittent ventilators, medical gas delivery apparatus, incentive breathing/hyperinflation devices, environmental control systems, and aerosol devices; administering medical gases, humidification, aerosols, and respiratory medications; maintaining clearance of patients natural and artificial airways; obtaining blood samples and interpreting blood gas data; and providing primary assistance in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Job Requirements

Completion of an approved respiratory care program.
Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license in good standing.
Current ACLS certification and Current BLS.
Minimum of three to five years of related work experience and leadership experience.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Basic computer knowledge.
