The Creative Specialist works in a team environment to provide a constant stream of visual content for marketing and communication channels. This role will facilitate development strategies on behalf of Vandor Funeral Products by contributing to and leading marketing initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring that products and services are successfully marketed and can be supported by Sales and Customer Service. This role will work cross-functionally with Management, Product Design, Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Finance and Pricing, and Production within the organization. This role supports sales growth and enhances the customer experience by developing content primarily in the form of campaigns, creation and evaluation of SEO strategies, email communications and print materials. This role is focused heavily on marketing of paper and wood products. This position reports directly to the President of Vandor Funeral Products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contributes to ensure positive customer experiences.
Serves as a liaison with and facilitates projects between internal customers/departments, production leadership, vendors and external customers to create advocacy content according to sales/forecasting needs.
Identifies target audience demographics and reviews previously successful marketing campaigns, working as a part of a team to accomplish tasks by setting deadlines and making adjustments to achieve better engagement with consumers.
Effectively communicates and promotes marketing goals and metrics across several cross-functional teams to innovate on media, artwork usage, functionality, and workflows.
Builds and strengthens relationships across the organization.
Displays confidence in making decisions or voicing opinions, even if unpopular.
Compiles and reviews performance metrics such as SEO and Analytics to strengthen and improve marketing strategies.
Consistently strives to improve the current operational workflow and identify efficiencies.
Assists with digital asset management and archiving including transferring, renaming, backing up and uploading
Effectively communicates and promotes goals and metrics of Vandor Funeral Products marketing campaigns.
Researches advertising trends, competitor pricing and product markets.
Maintains and updates CRM data.
Assists the Digital Marketing Specialist in improving and maintaining the website user experience to help achieve sales goals.
Manages timelines for campaign implementation.
Coordinates with marketing and product design team.
Leads creation of print marketing materials such as industry publications and catalogs.
Understands and manages non-disclosure agreements.
Participates in product design and evaluation and market opportunities.
Actively participates in weekly production and marketing meetings.
Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas.
Organizes trade show appearances including booth rental, displays and promotional items.
Attends trade shows and represents Vandor in a professional manner.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

Must possess exceptional planning and organizational skills including the prioritization and planning of work activities in order to use time efficiently and plan for additional resources when needed.
Must have the ability to perform mathematic equations quickly and accurately.
Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality including the start of the day, meetings and appointments and also ensuring work responsibilities are covered when absent.
Must be dependable including, but not limited to: following instructions, responding to management direction, taking responsibility for own actions, keeping commitments, committing to completing work in a timely manner to reach goals, completing tasks on time, and notifying appropriate person if an alternate plan is deemed necessary.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma with additional relevant formal education, certification, or equivalent experience is required.
Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, specially Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, is required.
Experience with other creative suites, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, CRM and and ERP system is preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment described below is representative of the surroundings an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Primarily office environment with frequent visits to Manufacturing floor.
Personal protective equipment is required as defined within the hazard analysis sheet defined for this position.
This is a full-time, on-site position based out of Richmond, Indiana.
