Internal Auditor
Our client, an amazing long-standing, International organization that flies under the radar in Michiana is adding a newly-created Internal Auditor role to their Finance department. This is an exciting opportunity to build your own high-visibility position and be ready for career growth! No travel required!

Essential Functions:


  • Audit Financial Records: Verify the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of key financial records and reconciliations.
  • Support External Audits: Assist external auditors and regulators to ensure efficient audits and examinations.
  • Reconciliation Testing: Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliation testing to maintain accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Procedure Improvement: Recommend improvements concerning procedures and practices.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with sales, use, and property tax regulations.
  • Audit Assistance: Assist staff accountants with municipal sales, use, and property tax audits.
  • Bank Cash Reconciliation: Manage the bank cash reconciliation process.
  • Inventory Participation: Participate in physical inventories as needed.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Assist management with requests for special reports and provide data in a user-friendly format.
  • General Tasks: Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Data Manipulation: Ability to extract data from databases and combine it with other data.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • ERP Experience: Preferred experience with Oracle, SAP, or D365 software.
  • Inventory Valuation: Experience with inventory cost valuation is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.


Education & Experience:

  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Ledger Functions: Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Software Systems: Experience with accounting software systems.
Position Details:
  • No travel required
  • This position is fully on-site
  • Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000
