Key Responsibilities:
- Report Development: Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that meet business requirements and provide actionable insights.
- Data Modeling: Create and maintain complex data models within Power BI, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI reports for performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and processing, especially with large datasets.
- Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis to support decision-making processes, identify trends, and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
- User Training: Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionality, report usage, and best practices.
- Documentation: To ensure knowledge transfer and continuity, maintain comprehensive documentation of report designs, data models, and processes.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across reports and dashboards through rigorous testing and validation processes.
- Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in Power BI and related technologies, recommending and implementing new features and tools as appropriate.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Advanced DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) knowledge for complex calculations and data manipulation.
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Cognos, QuickSight) is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Snowflake) and data integration tools (e.g., SSIS) is desirable.
- Ensure data accuracy and implement data quality measures
- Stay current with emerging BI Technologies and best practices
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
