What You'll Do: The Director of Financial Services Sales Support is responsible for onboarding, training, advisory sales supervision (agent IARs) and consulting with the Investment Advisor Representative in the field. This role plays a critical role in achieving proper sales supervision by acting as the firm's designated sales supervisory principal, enforcing firm and regulatory compliance rules and policies. Additional key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain an expert awareness of the RIA business line, and serve as subject matter expert resource to service, compliance, trading, operations, transitions, sales, support teams, and other FBFS company leaders with an emphasis on ensuring an optimal advisor experience.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal partners to strategize and help develop innovative solutions to attract new talent and scale Wealth Management.
  • Provide onboarding assistance, training, and support for all IARs (Agent, Wealth Management Advisor, Regional Financial Consultant) during all phases; exam preparation and testing, transition to IAR, how to run the business, fact finding training, required documentation and files, how to utilize software and other tools effectively, etc., in a manner that meets necessary compliance procedures.
  • Deliver consultative services to financial advisors, tailoring each approach to each advisors' unique needs and experience level, provide guidance and recommendations on best practices, tools, industry regulations, and identifies and executes training based on advisor needs.
  • Oversee post reviews of trades and identify suspicious patterns in sales and business practice.
  • Provide daily oversight and lead the WMA/WMC sales support team, overseeing the resource allocation, hiring, training/development, and workflow of sales support activities.

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

  • 10 years of experience working in the insurance and financial services sales industry with some level of knowledge in the RIA marketplace (including custodians, technology vendors, platform service providers, etc.) required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred.
  • FINRA Series 65/66, 7, 24, 63 and Life/Annuity Insurance license recommended.
  • Familiarity with unique business considerations for RIAs and how they may differ from other financial institutions including regulatory compliance, technology, service experience, etc.
  • Desire to be part of an entrepreneurial team and an ability to succeed within a dynamic, demanding environment, grounded in tangible results.
  • Superior analytical skills with an ability to identify relevant data, evaluate business opportunities within the context of a larger organization and present findings in a clear actionable manner.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and business leaders to manage, execute implement business strategies.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 50%.
