Lead Technical Administrator
What You'll Do: As a Lead Technical Administrator, you will ensure the platform's optimal performance, availability, and security. Below is a detailed job description for an Informatica Admin managing both on-premises and cloud platforms:
- Installation & Configuration:
o Install and configure Informatica products, including PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud (IICS), Data Quality (IDQ), MDM, and others, on both on-premises and cloud environments.
o Set up and manage environments for development, testing, and production.
- Administration & Maintenance:
o Monitor system health, performance, and resource utilization.
o Manage Informatica services, including upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
o Automate administrative tasks such as backups, monitoring, and log management.
o Apply security patches and fixes to ensure the system complies with security standards.
- User & Security Management:
o Manage user access, roles, and privileges in accordance with corporate policies.
o Implement and maintain security policies, including authentication (LDAP/AD) and encryption.
o Handle data security protocols, ensuring data privacy and compliance with regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
- Environment Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
o Monitor job schedules, log files, and error reports for potential issues.
o Troubleshoot and resolve any system issues, data load failures, or performance bottlenecks.
o Collaborate with support teams, Informatica support, and other vendors as needed to resolve complex issues.
o Accountable for assigned production systems and troubleshoot complex problems to ensure timely resolution.
- Cloud Platform Support:
o Manage and configure Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), including data integration, application integration, and API management.
o Ensure the hybrid connectivity between on-premises and cloud platforms is operational and optimized.
o Provide guidance and best practices for cloud data integration, migration, and governance.
- Backup & Recovery:
o Develop and maintain a robust backup and recovery strategy for Informatica environments.
o Test and verify the integrity of backups regularly.
o Restore systems and data as needed, ensuring minimal downtime.

What It Takes to Join Our Team:
- College Degree (MIS or computer science) or equivalent plus seven years relevant experience required. Sr. Technical Administrator experience preferred.
- ETL Experience required.
- Must have in-depth skills supporting two or more of the following key enterprise infrastructure technology areas: data networks, application computing platforms, storage area networks, data-base system infrastructures, middleware technologies, security infrastructure technologies, and end user technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, logical information organization skills.
- Must have customer experience orientation, impact and influence, industry awareness, initiative, integrity, and relationship management.
- Must understand the inter-relationship between business and technology needs.
- Ability to conceptualize potential, new, or changed infrastructure solution designs to satisfy changing business requirements. Must have or attain a strong understanding of all entities of the FBL Financial Group.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Maintain knowledge and skills current in alignment with industry technology developments.
- On-call responsibility to support infrastructure 24/7.
- Some travel required.
- Ability to work from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
