Job description

Gpac has partnered with a leading ag company looking to add a COO to their team in Central Kansas area. This position will oversee and direct the operations for the grain division of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Ensure proper management of resources and the distribution of goods and services
  • Ensure strategies are implemented and in compliance with regulatory bodies
  • Create strategic plans for the company
  • Oversee the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans
  • Provide leadership in achieving profit objectives
  • Work closely with others to ensure the company's objectives and mission are completed
  • Supervise the establishment and implementation of service and quality standards
  • Certify that appropriate internal systems, policies, procedures and controls are in place
  • Maintain consistent and effective communications with the chief executive officer and implement the CEO's directives
  • Allocate resources for managers such as funds, labor and equipment
  • Carry out company business plans
  • Advise and support senior management team with financial planning, budgeting and decision making
  • Project Management/Capital Projects
  • Fleet Management
  • Training and Support for employees

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree; or combination of education and experience in operations management within the agriculture industry, or other related field.
  • Knowledge and experience in the grain industry.
  • 5 years of progressive leadership in an agriculture operations environment leading a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Willingness to travel

Pay:


  • $100-$140K base bonus potential
  • Company vehicle, laptop and cell phone
