Job Title: Lead Teller Job Description:

Summary:

Assists the Assistant Branch Manager and/or Branch Manager with managing the daily workflow of the teller area. Balances the vault daily and maintains cash limits. Performs branch audits including researching teller differences. Is the expert in the technology, policies, and procedures used by the teller team. Leads the teller area to make sure daily items are completed with accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists branch management with overall daily workflow of tellers including working a teller drawer.

  • Act as the teller first contact and can answer general questions about branch operations , policies, and procedures.

  • Leads the teller area to make sure daily items are completed and accurate.

  • Manages cash vault and cash limits.

  • Orders and/ or ships cash as needed.

  • Audits teller drawers, cashier's checks & Money Orders.

  • Audits teller due to differences, responsible to try to locate differences, as needed.

  • Balances ATM

  • Performs essential duties and responsibilities of a teller

  • Assists branch management in quarterly unit assessment

  • Participates in opening and closing the branch, following procedures set by corporate security

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, customer service and strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to identify and make recommendations of other bank products and services through proactive conversations with clients

  • Thorough knowledge of bank operations, policies, procedures, compliance, and banking regulations.

  • Team oriented, possesses a positive attitude and works well with others.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum two years banking experience required

  • Customer service experience required

  • Experience working in an environment with individual and team goals preferred

Computer and Software Skills:

  • Skilled in operation of a personal computer, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Google Suite

  • IBS

  • Salesforce

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  • Notary License as needed by branch
