Title: Site Safety Professional - Night Shift
Location: De Soto, KS
Division: Enerfab Power & Industrial
Reports To: Site Safety Manager

Summary:

The Site Safety Professional plays a crucial role in promoting and enforcing safety policies and procedures on construction sites. This position involves assisting with safety inspections, incident reporting, safety training, and supporting the Site Safety Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Inspections:

  1. Assist in conducting regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to identify hazards and non-compliance issues.
  2. Document inspection findings, including safety violations and potential risks.
  3. Collaborate with the Site Safety Manager to implement corrective actions.
Incident Reporting:
  1. Assist in incident reporting and investigation procedures, including near misses, injuries, and property damage.
  2. Document and maintain accurate records of incidents and investigations.
  3. Assist in the development of corrective action plans and follow-up on their implementation.
Safety Training:
  1. Assist in coordinating safety training sessions and toolbox talks for employees and subcontractors.
  2. Promote a culture of safety awareness among construction personnel.
  3. Maintain training records and track compliance.
Safety Compliance:
  1. Support the enforcement of safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  2. Assist in ensuring that all construction activities comply with safety requirements.
  3. Monitor personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and compliance.
Safety Documentation:
  1. Assist in maintaining safety documentation, including safety plans, permits, and emergency response plans.
  2. Ensure safety signage and communication tools are up to date.
Emergency Response:
  1. Assist in emergency response planning and drills.
  2. Serve as a member of the site's emergency response team, if applicable.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional safety training or certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR) is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of prior safety or EHS experience in a construction or industrial environment.
  • Basic understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and interact with diverse personnel.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a safety-oriented role.
