Summary: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Tax Accountant for its client in Topeka, KS(link removed) The person will be responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, advising on tax strategies, and staying updated on current tax laws. This role requires strong analytical skills, organization, and excellent communication abilities to effectively engage with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns


• Analyze financial information to ensure compliance with tax regulation


• Advise on tax strategies and potential savings


• Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulation


• Assist with tax audits and inquiries

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field.


• CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred.


• 3+ years of experience in tax within a public accounting firm.


• Expertise in tax preparation, tax regulations, and multi-state tax issues.


• Strong research skills for tax issues and decision-making.


• Experience in the construction industry (preferred).


• Ability to develop strategies for maximizing client benefits and minimizing tax liabilities.


• Proficiency in tax accruals, depreciation software, and responding to tax notices.


• Flexible, adaptable, and capable of managing time effectively.


• Commitment to fostering a positive team environment focused on client satisfaction.
