Overview Weekend Night Dispatcher Working Shift: Thur 23:00 - Fri 07:00 Fri 23:00 - Sat 07:00 Sat 19:00 - Sun 07:00 Sun 19:00 - Mon 07:00 Responsibilities Provide support in executing daily logistical and service plans Assist with daily production of the bid board and the awarding of runs to drivers Assist with daily review of Driver DOT trip reports, editing and creating reports Monitoring Drivers DOT Hours of Service and available hours. Communicating with Drivers on Dispatch instructions and changes. Coordinating with Customers - appointments and trailer requirements. Coordinating and instructing local carrier Drivers as needed. Daily communication with Drivers to review service needs and requirements. Tracking and maintaining Trailer and Tractor Inventory Ensure all inbound and outbound loads are delivered on time. Communicating with Warehouse Leads & Drivers on load status. Consistent and effective communication by email and telephone. Providing cross-functional support across Operations, Traffic, and Sales teams as needed. All other duties as assigned by Resource. Compensation & Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $37,000 - $58,950. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Qualifications Develops understanding of transportation operations and familiarity with Frito-Lay operations Develops and can communicate DOT Hours of Service (8 day/70 hour rule, 11 hour rule, 14 hour rule) Develops and thorough functional knowledge of Traffic scheduling programs (TMAP and DPS) Demonstrates strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Demonstrates self-motivation and initiative Strong training skills and the ability to work with deadlines, work under pressure, and to be flexible Capable of prioritizing and completing multiple tasks Demonstrates a positive and winning attitude Demonstrates strong attention to detail and communicates effectively with internal and external customers Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Able to adapt to changes and develop/implement best practices Strong analytical skills Excellent verbal and written skills Strong interpersonal skills and sense of customer service High school diploma or GED EEO Statement All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
