Responsibilities

First Equity Mortgage, a subsidiary of Drees Homes, is seeking candidates for a Mortgage Quality Control Risk and Compliance Auditor position.

As the mortgage lending arm of Drees Homes, First Equity Mortgage has been financing new home construction for more than 40 years.

In this position you will be responsible for verifying loan production and company operations are compliant with Federal, State and Investor guidelines to reduce company risk in the origination and closing operation.

We are seeking an individual who is detailed, accurate, organized and enjoys working in a fast paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Review of mortgage files for compliance with federal and state regulations and Fannie and Freddie underwriting
  • Responsible for meeting daily file review numbers
  • Accurately record audit findings in a professional manner
  • Assist with state licensing of company and loan originators
  • Additional other tasks as assigned

Requirements include:

  • Strong knowledge of Fannie, Freddie, FHA and VA Underwriting Guidelines
  • Strong knowledge of TRID as well as other federal and state mortgage regulations
  • Effective communication skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in fast paced environment meeting daily production requirements while being able to remain professional
  • Must be able to work independently without constant management supervision
  • Knowledge of the Encompass Loan Operating System a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mortgage compliance and/or quality control
  • Able to work in our Fort Mitchell, KY office full time.
