Lockheed Martin's SOF GLSS Team, the leading provider of a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance and sustainment services is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic to join the SOF GLSS team in Lexington, KY. The candidate will perform classified aircraft mechanic duties supporting multiple Special Operations groups and must have a working knowledge of aviation electrical components. What You Will Be Doing As the Aircraft Mechanic your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: • Maintains and repairs aircraft electrical components
• Works with flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components
• Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to determine equipment malfunctions
• Restores equipment condition and/or operation
• Solves moderate to complex problems through interpretation of technical documentation
• Interprets blueprints, manuals, and other technical documents
• Performs comprehensive analysis and repair. This position is located in Lexington, KY Discover Lexington MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. A company-sponsored Interim Secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Applicant must have Aviation electrical experience. 1-year minimum -Applicant must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures, and replacement of parts. -Applicant must have experience installing and testing electrical/avionic systems. Experience in wiring schematics and wire running of Aircraft a plus. -Applicant must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, and micrometers. This job requires a working knowledge of technical publications. The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from a supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft-relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records. Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects. -Applicant must be able to travel when required. This requirement may encompass 20% - 40% of the work year. -Applicant must be able to work Overtime as needed. -Applicant must be able to work multiple shifts as required for the need of schedule/budget.
Desired Skills:
Applicant shall have H-60 experience, but not limited to. H-47 experience is also welcome. Experience with installing Wiring for MWO's, a plus.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Rotating 40 hour week as assigned by leader
