Job description

Gpac is currently working with a food manufacturer in northern Kentucky who is seeking a 1st shift Quality Assurance Manager!

Business is booming and the company is going through rapid growth! They are recession-proof and have emerged stronger from the COVID-19 pandemic, with two facilities already running 24/7 across 3 shifts, and a third on the way. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Implement QA policies, procedures, and directives to ensure compliance with company, customer, and government expectations, providing feedback and follow-up for corrective action.
  • Participate in customer audits and annual SQF audits as needed.
  • Conduct pre-shipment reviews, CCPs, validation studies, and report deficiencies for GMPs, HACCP, and SSOPs.
  • Direct inspection and sampling activities to maintain continuous control over materials, facilities, and products, including specification inspections, temperature, and weight checks.
  • Identify and resolve problems promptly; skillfully gather and analyze information; develop alternative solutions; and work well in group problem-solving situations.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Sanitation Manager to ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications


  • Computer skills, analytical, equipment and food-processing equipment.
  • Knowledge of quality control processes related to the food-processing industry.
  • Knowledge of quality process control and HACCP, SSOP and SOP.
  • Knowledge of USDA and FDA standards.
  • Self-starter, motivator, goal-oriented and a strategic thinker
  • Good organizational and communication skills both verbally and written
  • Previous experience in meat processing or RTE environment a must!

Relocation is provided and company is targeting a base of 80k-90k
