MAINTENANCE MANAGER

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Manager on the 2nd shift. This employer rewards its employees well for their efforts and it is a fun and team-oriented place to work. The company is expanding rapidly.

The Maintenance Manager is a hands-on position that is responsible for preventative and routine maintenance tasks in our food manufacturing plant. The Maintenance Manager works with their staff to troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability.

EXPERIENCE


  • Mechanical and Electrical Experience
  • Ability to read engineering schematics (German schematics a plus)
  • Knowledge of Weber Slicers, Multivac sealers, labelers, flow wrappers and
  • Welding experience, light carpentry
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Training and mentoring maintenance staff in food production/facility maintenance/3 years supervisory experience
  • Experience with SQF or other GFSI program

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Machine maintenance, breaking down equipment, adjusting and setting up for daily production
  • Perform preventative maintenance, which includes daily and weekly inspections of machines
  • Develops budgets for plant maintenance, projects and major and minor line improvements
  • Schedules, supervises, and direct work of the staff
  • Evaluates performance and works with Plant Manager regarding personnel issues
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Minimum 5 - 7 years' experience in Food production/facility maintenance:3 years supervisory experience
  • Experience with SQF or other GFSI program
  • College degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering; equivalent experience may be substituted for educational requirement
  • Must be able to work with power tools and work on high and low voltage
  • Able to read engineering schematic such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic (German schematics a plus).
